Yay! I love the way the seasons in Australia are so punctual. Lovely sunshine and while only 16 degrees, we were outside in the front garden basking. 19 today so garden work for DH on Fathers' Day.:o

Naturally, this being Melbourne, the temperatures will be all over the shop for the rest of the week, but what a weekend it's been.

Salbertina · 02/09/2012 03:14

Sounds lovely! Similar here. Sun came out for sept Smile

Sounds like it's just we two for this weekend, salbertina. I expect everyone else was taking their DH out for a Fathers' Day piss-up and brawl.

A gorgeous day here in Melbourne, now winding down for dinner, feet up and, I've been told by DH, a midwife drama more compelling than Downton Abbey.:o

Grin Not been fathers day here though was in June I think, oh well, sun still shining...

Yep, getting warmer here in Chile and our clocks changed on SundayGrin nice long evenings are here.

Thumbwitch · 05/09/2012 04:08

Definitely warmer and lovely to see the blossoms coming out - just enrolled DS for his swimming classes, starting next week, as the pool has just been refilled (outdoor pool)

Bloody windy here today though...

echt · 05/09/2012 07:07

And here, thumbwitch, unless you're in Melbourne, too. I thought I'd spend a bit of my strike day doing the garden, but way too windy. Instead waiting for the awful cost of the repair of my washing machine - if it can be done at all - to be handed to me. It's all gone VERY quiet in the laundry.

Thumbwitch · 05/09/2012 07:11

eep, echt! Shock FX for you as well.

No, I'm in NSW, 1.5h N of Sydney. Wind's dropped a bit now, but only for a momentary lull - last night's weather included a warning to move stuff away from trees and tie boats up tight!

differentnameforthis · 05/09/2012 07:29

Blowing a gale here today ...not happy!

Salbertina · 05/09/2012 07:37

Lots of blossom coming out and doting flowers,no wind, a good day

OP posts:
Salbertina · 05/09/2012 07:40

Why "blooming" corrected to "doting"? What goes on in the mind of the iPhone autocorrect!

OP posts:
echt · 05/09/2012 07:56

Phew! Washing machine repaired at a reasonable price.

Sun gets its hat on.

Dog and cat rush out into the sunshiny garden.

I get back to strike-breaking marking.:o

Salbertina · 05/09/2012 08:05

What's the strike?

OP posts:
savoycabbage · 05/09/2012 08:11

Victorian teachers strike.

I love any excuse to say Victorian. Victorian teachers, Victorian school, Victorian drivers licence, Victorian homes, Victorian police. Love it.

Thumbwitch · 05/09/2012 08:32

Grin at Victorian stuff!

Glad the washing machine wasn't exorbitant, echt. :)

Salbertina · 05/09/2012 11:24

Aah, as you're all in Oz, assuming sleeping right now.. Or .all that strike/Victorian excitement got too much Wink
Nothing Victorian here- our house is "old" as it's not 21st century!

OP posts:
Salbertina · 05/09/2012 11:25

But I get that you must to referring to the state not period of Victoria...

Thumbwitch · 05/09/2012 11:43

Not sleeping yet, Salbertina, it's not even 9pm yet!
