How to sell a French property?

We have some land in France which has just been granted a CU (certificate of urbanisation) - which means you can build on it. We have a local French Estate agent but their reach seems very limited. Can you put in on all agents in France and can it go to auction -- also it is in a ski resort so of interest internationally - which international agents would cover it? Really need to get it sold asap!

Which ski resort? I have a property business in 2 French ski resorts. which agent have you gone for?

A few years back I sold a house in France using a website called Chaletsdirect.com

It had been on for 3 years with an agent and I sold it within a season. I organised viewing trips, as all responders to my advert were British. I had 3 trips, 15 viewings and 2 offers.

I'm based in the UK but my business is in the 3 valleys and Les Arcs.

You could look for an agent in France with at least national reach such as Nexity (used to be LAMY).

Other options could be an advert in the Times (expensive) or a website like the one I mentioned.
I also actively participated on the chat forum on Snowheads, although for formal advertising you'd need to check with the site admin. But it is good for getting local knowledge and contacts.

Main thing, if you want to sell it yourself is a good set of photos and/ or a good website you can link prospective buyers to. People will only spend money to visit if they have lots of info upfront and photos are best.

Do you have a local Notaire employed? If you sell it yourself, the Notaire can draw up the Compromis De Vente for you.
