Selling UK property

Hi
Has anyone sold their UK property whilst living in the US. I was hoping to find out some information with regards to if I would owe CGT in the UK or US.

I've only been living in the US for a (tax) year, but have been out of the UK since 2003. I have rented out our property since then (tax declared). The property is the only property we own world wide.

Any tips or info on the what we might owe in terms of tax, either in the US or the UK?

Thanks in advance

If you have been non-resident in the UK for 5 complete tax years or more (which on the face of it you have) you won't be liable to UK capital gains tax on the disposal of your property.

Sorry I have no idea about the US CGT rules.
