Which is the "greenest" most family friendly arrondissement in Paris?

Hello! We (me DH and 3 young kids) are moving to Paris this summer and I have been researching different neighbourhoods. I have found lots of great info but would be interested to learn from you (the experts!). If you had to choose the greenest, leafiest arrondissement of Paris, which would you recommend? We would like to be able to escape to a park or have some sort of nature about - while recognizing that Paris is a dense, urban city. Is it possible to find a bit of breathing space? For the moment, let's assume that location of work and school are not considerations. Suggestions anyone?

The american library is EXCELLENT! We go there every week! It (and the american church) is in the 7th....

My DD at EAB has two really fabulous after school activities in English - Singing Club and Theatre Club. I am debating enrolling her in American Girl Scouts, but the logistics of that are what puts me off. Honestly and truthfully, we've never had much success with extra curricular activities that aren't very local - Paris is a big city and traipsing all over the place for an hour or so of whatever quickly eats up huge chunks of time and energy.

Ah, most of them seem to be in the 7th. I found plenty for my ex-charge to do and I was nosing around for baby/toddler activities and found a fair few of them and then they went and posted us to Normandy

Hi I am new to this site. We will be moving our family to Paris soon with children who are 8, 6, & 2. I am researching schools and was wondering if anyone knows anything about Cours Hattermer - is this a school that English-only (who want to learn French) speaking children can apply to/attend? And also what the negative feedback is for Eurecole...why do people say it has a bad reputation?

Cours Hattemer is very traditional in its approach to education à la française and does not keep to the French NC. I am not sure what its particular attractions would be for non-native French speakers.

I know children who started off at Eurécole and moved to EaB because they had failed to learn anything at all at Eurécole (eg reading and writing). These are perfectly normal, bright children.

This was in the Telegraph - I know it's about buying but mentions renting and may be useful.
