I'll start . . .

I'm in South Australia, we will be at a rented beach house with in-laws and bil + sil + kids. Weather is forecast to be 30 degrees which is splendid as at the moment we are enjoying storms and 15 degrees max (this not good for summer).

We will eat Crayfish, prawns, oysters (yuck), ham and turkey (cold) with salads. Ice creams and sweeties for dessert.

We'll probably spend a bit of time on the beach and then have an almighty family row to finish the day off nicely.

What will you be doing?

In Queensland - so far we have had a saturday night decorating the tree, then a drive around looking at christmas lights then ice cream stop and home.

Carols by candlelight indoors due to rain.

Christmas Eve - extended family get together - aunts, uncles, cousins, children, dh and family friends of Aunts. Seafood, roast, ham, veges, desserts like pavlova, cheesecakes etc

Christmas morning - scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and bucks fizz ( juice for children) dh, me and 3 dds.

Then over to my mother's for christmas lunch - she insists on doing roast with roasted veges, pavlova, jelly and ice cream - sweets, stonefruit etc.

What the feck is a galah???

Themasterandmargaritas · 22/12/2010 14:42

Wow, that's much prettier than a camel Smile.

Someone on Neighbours had a pet galah iirc Grin

We're in France, it's just me & the DDs so we'll do whatever we feel like... The traditional Christmas meal is on Christmas Eve, so we'll have pancakes with choc spread because that's what the DDs keep requesting!

Then presents tomorrow morning, we might go into town at some point to look at the Christmas lights. It feels strange not having a proper "family" Christmas but I think this will be nice in it's own way Xmas Smile

Merry Christmas all!

Ah found this post too late...we are in Basel for Christmas and had about thirty cm of snow on Christmas eve. Must say the snow is like Angel's dandruff. Beautifully soft and fluffy.

We had turkey and trimmings after a mass Lego session with ds.

The rest of the holiday has been about sledging and snow fun.

Hope you all had a lovely time.

Looking forward to having UK folks over for NYE fireworks fondue and raclette. Topped up with plenty of glogg and vodka martinis.
