...is it true that it is banned in France?

What about buying it in the UK but using it in France...how serious an offence is it?!

Surely it's not banned?!? Crikey, my neighbour has a huge plant of it & she gave me a couple of cuttings, I'd better watch out!! Grin (sorry not much help was it!)

Don't worry jenpet, I have several plants in my garden bought from a local nursery in the last 10 years.

I think slinkyboo means St John's Wort as a medicine. I've just had a look and apparently it was banned for a few years but the restrictions were lifted in 2004.

That certainly surprises me as I was prescribed it by a doctor a few years ago. Unfortunately I can't remember the brand name.
