Husbands is 65 and has DLBCL lymphoma - he’s relapsed after chemo and car t and currently responding to glofitamab… but they say that’s unlikely to hold, so the alternative is a transplant from a half match brother…apparently better than waiting 6 weeks for the one match on the database…it’s a very tough decision, which is his to make but for me to support and help him talk through. We live apart but nearby. Children are doing a levels. I’d love to hear thoughts if anyone with experience.

My DH had an allo STC a few years ago.
It was tough going and took a lot out of him ( and me, I had to give up work to care for him). He has some ongoing issues and lifelong meds, but is in remission. He would be alive now without it, but I accept its a big decision.

Please feel free to PM me if you want to talk.

My dad relapsed from AML in 2020 and had a 50% match stem cell transplant from my brother. He is coming up to five years in remission now :)

He was also 65 by the way.
