Still awake all night with cold legs and sore feet. in morning I feel like I’ve been run over by a bus. By afternoon my body feels really heavy and exhausting to move. What is it. Can’t help wondering if Chemo related?
I can’t find long term effects of chemo anywhere - but it must do something? Can’t believe you just heal totally.?

Thank you so very much.

There was no colour when I had chemo. I remember only a black and white world. Yes, I remember that.

Op, not to divert but did you have radiation and if so have you had your thyroid checked? When my mum had radiation for bc they said sometimes the thyroid is affected. Trouble sleeping, feeling cold, sore joints can be symptoms.
Chemo almost killed my mum (multiple blood clots in leg and lungs), we're lucky she's alive. Flowers Flowers Flowers to all of you, cancer is an absolute beast.

Thanks for saying thanks. I’m so glad (not quite the right phrase!) I guess I mean reassuring that you know what I meant. Thought I was losing the plot. It’s wierd isn’t it? No colour, no joy. At All.
I’m sorry quick, your poor mum. That’s awful for all of you. Yes I did have radio, thanks for the tip, I didn’t know that.
Here’s flowers back to your mum, and to everyone else 💐💐💐💐💐

I didn't have breast cancer but I had cancer. My joints, bones etc have been affected since chemo. I keep moving and as active as I can. I tried things like tumeric tablets etc and vitamins but have found no solution. My body is not the same. Don't push yourself too hard. I suffer neuropathy especially my fingers its more cold weather. The doctor said it takes 6 months to get chemo out your system I say bollocks as its seriously affected mine even after 3 years. Just remember not all cancers are the same and just because someone is fit enough to put a pink t shirt on and run a marathon after cancer does not mean your weak. Their cancer may not have been as bad as what you went through. Your alive and thats all that matters. From my own experience my body has not just healed and gone back to what it was ive learned to live with it even though its frustrating.

Oh sit down, that’s grotty for you. It is frustrating. And neuropathy is horrible. Agree it surely takes longer than 6 months. I also think joints nerves etc are different, like we’ve gone straight to being 80! I Try bits too, notice a difference when I drink lots of juiced veg. Then I Get out of the habit because dh wants juice too but doesn’t clean the juiceR , grumble!
Have FINALLY found a bit of info on a macmillans thread I think, where someone says chemo long term stops your blood taking up so much oxygen so it’s important to move all the time.at least once an hour.
Don’t know if this helps.
