I have just found out that I have have a pre-cancerous conditon. Had it for a while withought diagnosis. I am in a state as I fear it may turn cancerous.
I am rerally worried how I will cope if it becomes cancerous.

Oh dear - so sorry to hear that! What is it or how likely is it to turn into a bad thing? And is there nothing that can be done to avoid that?

Not sure if you've done this already but you probably need to talk to the doctors and understand the condition well - maybe it's not as bad as you fear.

Please don't panic. Go and talk to your doctor or consultant, or Macmillan, you don't have to have got a cancer diagnosis to talk to them.

I have ovarian cancer, the consultant told me to prepare myself at my first CT guided biopsy and he was right.

If you want to talk more, please feel free to pm me.

Do not panic!!!

That would be my first piece of advice. Next, find out as much as you can about treatment and the timetable for that. Knowing what will happen will make you feel better.

I have had cervical cancer and I know for me, the worst bit was after diagnosis and before I got told when my op would be. I felt in complete limbo and terrified what kthe prognosis would be.

It all turned out well for me and I am now 6 years post surgery. I feel very lucky and enjoy life in a way I possibly wouldn't have before.

Sad Winkcat, I hope you are keeping well.

6 years post surgery and 5 years post chemo here too (stage 3 colon cancer)

I surprised myself how well I coped. The not knowing before diagnosis wad worse. Once I knew I felt like I could move forward and get on with the treatment. I also kept myself informed about every stage of my treatment & medication. It helped me feel like I had some control. Good luck OP hopefully all will be fine.
