Books on being bi/lesbian

Can anyone recommend any books to my late teen DD who is struggling to come to terms with being bi/ gay. There are obvs Pride groups at school, & she says the people are lovely, but she doesn't feel any connection to them at all. She needs support/ reassurance/ guidance as she is really struggling with her mental health, & has been searching for a gently supportive book.
We love her to bits & just want to help her any way we can.
Many thanks

'Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating' and 'The Dos and Donuts of Love' by Adiba Jaigirdar. Manga series called 'She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat'. These are gentle and positive.

The Murder Most Unladylike series has the main character come out as a lesbian- they may be a bit young for her (although I read them as an adult and love them!).

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe (which is where my username is from!) is an amazing book with a central lesbian relationship.

What kind of books does she usually read?

How late teen, and does she still read YA fiction? If so, there's quite a lot of good stuff, including Jaigirdar as recommended above. There's also a hilarious American YA novel called 'Her Royal Highness' by Rachel Hawkins about an American girl who goes to boarding school in Scotland and gets together with a princess - as far as I remember that one is good because it doesn't make being gay the main issue for the characters.

If she reads more adult fiction, it's trickier because a lot of good LGBT stuff tends to focus on the difficulties. But Patience and Sarah by Isabel Miller (historical romance) is quite positive in terms of overcoming adversity. There are also some stories in in Emma Donoghue's collection 'Touchy Subjects' that focus on gay themes in a broadly positive way.
