Medical Negligence Claim, can anyone help?

I spoke to my solicitor for the first time yesterday (previously all details were taken by a paralegal at home).
She was useless, she didnt have my name right, so therefore could not locate the file, then she asked why I had arranged a meeting and I said 'because you asked me to on the end of your letter' which she disagreed with so I read it out to her, and then she spent 5 minutes shuffling papers.
When we finally got to the meeting she said I should not make a complaint as it will hold up any legal claim and I wont get anything out of it, I disagreed with this and said there were matters I wanted to raise with the NHS that were not of a legal nature but more personal and about overall care etc.
She then said they will get independent advice from consultants as to whether they would be prepared to say its a med negligence case, but she didnt take any details about associated risk factors etc)

Because I am on a no win no fee basis I am not sure if I can change my solicitor, but I just dont feel that she is acting for me IYSWIM
