Creating a will.

DH are meeting a solictor next week to draw up a will. Want to be clear who will look after my two girls should worse happen etc.

Would anyone have any advise as to what else I should include?... I mean how much detail should I include about who and what involvement I want people to have with the girls, how I want them to be rasied, do's and dont's or am I over complicating matters and worrying about something that is very unlikely to actually be required?!?!? Touch wood!!!

The solicitor should go through every step int he will one by one. He/she should also ask you about different scenarios and what you want to happen in each case.

It will cover who gets what and when in the event of your death, including all your assets such as house, savings, insurance payouts, etc.

TBH the guardianship bit is only a statement of wishes to say who you would prefer to look after your children int he event of your death. It is not legally binding. If you have specifics about how you'd ike children brought up, etc it might be better to write a letter outlining thes to give to the potential guardian at the time of the will reading. Not sue the will document is the ideal place for specifics.
