Any HR/ Employment about?

I am not sure if this is in the right place.

For the last three years I’ve worked Sundays, this what I was contracted to do. Last month my colleague had his hours extended and as such is now working one sunday a month. I’ve been told I know have to on a Tuesday so he can cover that Sunday.

I’ve repeatedly said that this doesn’t work for me. It impacts my childcare etc. I’ve been told that I’m being too reactive and difficult.

Where do I stand? Can they enforce this?

What does your contract say about your hours of work and any flexibility.

it seems odd that if they still need people Tuesday and Sunday that they’re swapping you about

Unless you have a FWA that says you work every Sunday or it’s specifically written in to your contract, there is nothing you can do but formally request it.

What does your contract stipulate?

I was initially employed to work on Sundays and Sundays only. I need to look at my contact to see what else is on there.
