ID1 verification required

Has anyone recently had to get an ID1 form verified for Land Registry purposes?
I’m involved in a property-related matter and have been told I now need an ID1 identity verification form completed before the Land Registry will process things.
I assumed it would be straightforward to arrange locally through a solicitor/conveyancer, but surprisingly a few firms I contacted either don’t offer it anymore or only do it for existing conveyancing clients.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations — either local firms or online/video appointment services that they found reasonably priced and easy to deal with?

Would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who’s done it recently as the process seems to have changed quite a bit with remote verification/video calls etc.

Thanks

I am filling in this form also for Land Registry. Apparently the Post Office do this service for about £12.50. I think I need to take my passport and a passport style photograph.

Disclaimer is that Copilot told me this information, I plan on going to the Post Office this weekend to do it.

@reallondon

Search on google "ID1 Form Solicitor Verification Service in" ....... and add your area to the search, it should return your local results, with prices

Although google says no 😔. Back to the drawing board for me as well…

I used ID1 Form Verification Online recently and found them very straightforward to deal with.
They carry out the ID1 verification remotely via a Zoom video call, so you can use them wherever you are in the country rather than needing to find a local solicitor. The process was quick and convenient, and they were familiar with the Land Registry requirements.
Worth considering if you're struggling to find a local firm that offers this as a standalone service.

Oddly I did this Monday.
I used an online place as it was cheaper, £79. RFC law. Took about 10 minutes via a teams chat.
