Urgent advice re court hearing tomorrow

I have posted about this issue recently. Something else has come up. My son has a cao for his 14 year old daughter stating his daughter lives with him. Her mother has very limited, supervised access, no overnights. His daughter is refusing to see her mother at all over the last few months. Mum has gone to court to vary the cao. The first hearing, she did not produce the relevant medical documents so there is another hearing tomorrow. My son is representing himself, ex has a solicitor. He has received an email from her solicitor asking if his position is the same as it was a few weeks ago I.e does he still support a direction for a section 7 report from Cafcass. There have been events over the weekend where he has been threatened, and he has reported this to the police. He has a crime number and has applied for an urgent non mol. In light of these events he is not sure how to respond to the solicitor and if he is obliged to do so. He just wants the court to hear the details and decide what is best. Has anyone any advice as to how he should respond. Hope this makes sense.

Thank you. He is more than happy for cafcass to do a report. They have been very supportive in the past. I suppose he is worried about saying the wrong thing. He doesn't trust her solicitor not to be trying to trick him in some way. It is difficult to understand the tone of some of her solicitors previous emails in light of the threats and intimidation my son and me and my elderly dh have received which the solicitor must believe to be true in spite of the exs denials.

Can he just email back and state that his position is that he is happy with whatever the judge deems appropriate?

Does your son have any legal insurance through work or his house in light of your other thread I think it is hard to represent himself without legal help.

No he doesn't unfortunately. We have already spent several thousands on his financial hearings and just can't produce any more money. He is not too worried about the cao outcome but it's still very stressful.

I think the time has come for your son to get a solicitor

Has your son prepared a position statement for the previous hearing? It might be that they are asking for?
