Extension Nightmare

8 months into a promised 12 week extension.
No planning permission needed kept to maximum allowance regarding size.
Im in a terraced house and my builder had approval from myself and neighbour to take down panelled concrete fence in order to plaster side of extension.
When I returned on site he had trimmed the panel by 3inches and posts (so cant be replaced) i panicked as I knew the neighbour would be unhappy and he basically shrugged his shoulders.
He also created a make shift gutter from side of extension to fence. Looking like the water will drip into her garden into her drain.
I rang my neighbour as she doesn't live in the property to explain the situation and that I didnt give consent.
She seemed ok more concerned about the gutter.
If this gets messy who's liable.
Im at my whits end!!
Also small issue but nagging away at me... he was paid to build a bathroom and wants to be paid extra to install a door and door frame? Surely once materials are supplied he should do this?
Nothing in our initial agreement about this.
Tensions are building its been too long and very invasive.
Not to mention the animals he has working with him which is another story!

Surely you had plans and a scope of works that he should be working to? Was the doorway included, what was the guttering layout? Do you have a party wall agreement with neighbours?

I didnt know he was going to put a make shift gutter in the gap of the wall between extension and boundry wall so that it would drain into their garden or trim the wall that wasn't in the plans

So you need to insist he goes back to the plan! Have you paid him? Are Buildings Control happy with the work?
