Hello
i wrote an abuse statement & my ex had until 10 November to respond, his solicitor has not followed this up either with my solicitor . He has not done this and we are expected to be at court this week! I am stressed worrying about what the next steps could be? Could his solicitor advise him not to write a response or do you think maybe he’s just not going to go ahead with trying for a child arrangement order

I would be very surprised if his solicitor advised him not to respond. Failure to respond may be taken as an admission that the allegations are true and is likely to damage his credibility with the court.

Surely your solicitor can advise?

Do you not have a solicitor yourself? Its their job to advise on these kinds of questions

Yes I understand that but its quite a specific question you've asked and there may be a lot of factors in your situation that aren't in others so I just think specific legal guidance might be better.
