Land Registry

I am getting a house transferred to my name via Land Registry. I had an executor doing the paperwork (she was hired by my father; he didn't know her). She is being investigated for fraud in relation to the rest of the inheritance and I repeatedly told Land Registry not to send the documents to her because the police were involved. I have been telling them this for the last 3 months and found out today they have sent them to her. They have said that because the document is signing everything over to me and the police didn't contact them they have done nothing wrong as she can't use them fraudulently. They are basically saying they are not at fault and followed procedures. I want to make a complaint. Are they right to say that they weren't at fault despite me giving them the police officer's email and his phone number?

What documents has the Land Registry sent her? If it is a copy of the deeds, the Land Registry is not at fault. Anyone can get the deeds for any property on payment of the appropriate fee.

The problem you have is that, if she is the sole executor, she is currently the only person entitled to transfer the house to you. You need to consult a solicitor.
