Specific Issue Order - domestic holiday

Hi there. There is 50/50 court Order in place for child arrangements with various clauses and one clause states that the court permits 28 days holidays UK and abroad without permission from other parent but requires notice etc. Party A booked UK trip around March 2025, notified Party B appropriately. Party B has booked a trip the same week. 60% of the trip falls on Party B time if that makes a difference. Does anyone have any experience of this with filing a specific issue order and the outcome. Thanks

who booked first?

Did Party B notify A of the trip before booking?

To be honest a court would be pretty annoyed at having to deal with this!

The provision that consent is not necessary for up to 28 days relates to travel and not "taking the other parent's time"

As it were.

So did party B agree to give up "their" time when party A notified them of the booking in March?

My gut feeling is the court would allow party A to go but the judge would be pretty annoyed at dealing with it and unless theres an exception then mediation will be necessary.

When did party B notify A of their trip?

Sounds like both parents are unreasonable for booking trips on the other’s time without permission beforehand unless I misread the post and prior consent was obtained?

No party B did not notify as it is on their days only for one night instead of three. So no notification required.

child told A last week and B told A six days before the trip.

I am trying to weigh up if an urgent SIO will be worth it

They agreed twice over message on the basis their time was ‘owed’. Like child is some kind of transaction

Why has A booked a holiday during B's time with the child?

God, don’t waste the courts time with this. Can’t you just sort this out like adults?
