Leaving conveyancing

I have been in conveyancing for 15 years and thinking about a move out of it, for a change. Anyone moved out conveyancing but still using their knowledge in a different role? Thank you

Are you qualified @Circle25 ? If so, look for legal auditor roles. Or you could do title checking. I’ve done both.

I’m a licensed conveyancer. 15 years qualified. I’m a manager and get paid well and have two small kids with mortgage etc so don’t want to drop wage too much. Title checking, when I looked into it before, didn’t pay well enough

The Legal Ombudsman deal with a lot of conveyancing complaints and it’s really handy to know what is and isn’t reasonable as an investigator or an ombudsman when writing case decisions. It depends on your salary expectations though as it’s not extraordinarily well paid - national average as an investigator and into the 40’s for ombudsman.

What salary do you need OP? Support type roles in conveyancing tend to pay around £45k tops. That’s what I’m on as a solicitor doing auditing with a similar PQE to you.
