How long to get High Court writ?

I took a supplier to County Court (Small Claim Court) via Moneyclaim Online. It was for £10k and the court found in my favour. As the amount claimed is over the limit for County Court bailiffs to pursue, I completed an application for the High Court to issue a writ so its bailiffs can pursue the claim. This was in mid January and I still haven’t received any paperwork from them. They cashed my cheque in January so I know they received the form.

Does anyone have any experience of this situation they can share? Timing, next steps, etc.? £10k is a lot of money to me so I’m keen to get it back. Thank you.

I've not dealt with this personally but this is an email address I found where you can check up on your case- [email protected]

Yes, I’ve been through something similar. After the High Court writ is issued, enforcement can take a few weeks — but since it’s been several months, it’s worth chasing it up. I’d recommend contacting the High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEO) you nominated on the form directly, or the Registry Trust if you didn’t specify one. You can also check with the High Court or Moneyclaim helpline to confirm the writ was processed. Don’t let it sit — the longer the delay, the harder recovery can be.
