Property Value on Tax Return

What would be the reason for listing your main residence value on your business tax return?

Context: deceased parent, last tax return completed by an account had property value included. Self employed, VAT registered, non-LTD.

There isn’t even a box to include this on your tax return so I’m not sure you have all of the context here?

But you include all your income and gains on your tax return, not just those related to the business.

There is no box for main residence value as it's simply not needed anywhere on the return unless the property is sold (if there's a capital gain) or part ownership has been transferred/gifted (if there's a capital gain).

It would help if you told us the detail, i.e. what box number it had been entered into and on what page/supplementary section, etc. Context is everything.
