Falsifying planning objections

What would you do if you believed your neighbour had falsified objections to planning permission, claiming them to come from other neighbours?

Raise it with the planning authority

What @JohnofWessex says.

Do you have evidence of the falsification?

Seeline · 20/01/2025 11:43

It won't make much difference. If your neighbour has submitted an objection with valid planning concerns, they will be considered as part of the determination process. It doesn't matter whether 1 person, or 25 people have raised those concerns. If they are not valid, they won't be considered. Even anonymous letters will be considered if the concerns are material planning considerations.

Have you got proof that fraudulent objections have been considered?

No proof as yet but should be fairly easy to get. I just wondered if amounted to fraud- submitting multiple objections & making out they are from multiple different people.
