Which sort of solicitor please?

I'll try to be brief, this is the situation.

House owned jointly between Mum and one brother. For various reasons, myself and other brother have paid into the house for our Mum as there is still a mortgage term on it. Mortgage is up in 12 months.

At the end of mortgage term, all monies will have been paid but when the house is sold, the monies loaned by myself and non-house-owning-brother will need to be repaid.

We need to get this written down and notarised and that's what I need advice on. My Mum has been contacting solicitors and I think, confusing them. Last solicitor has suggested she needs a litigation firm.

Can anybody advise/suggest please? Thanks.

Hello, you ideally need a property litigation solicitor to help you.

A property solicitor should be able to deal with it - not a conveyancer - the solicitor will get the arrangement noted on the title and you'll sign a deed that the Land Registry will be sent..

Thank you both for your replies, really helpful. I will look into finding a solicitor in that area.
