Tenancy Takeover - Student Accommodation

Hi Everyone.
Looking for some advice. My daughter secured student accommodation in December 2023 to secure a cheaper rate (£270per week) for this coming academic year. Now that her timetable has been issued, she is only in Uni for 2 days a week. Therefore it is more cost effective for her to commute to London from Home in Norfolk.
The student accommodatin have said that if she no longer wants the room it is her responsibility to find another student to take over her tenancy. Fine, I understand that. However, between December and now, the accommodation has had a change in management and the same room now sells for £299 per week.
If it is our responsibilty to find another student to take over my daughters tenancy where do I stand with regards to letting people know the costs. I would like to think that if a person is taking over my daughters tenancy the cost to them would be the cheaper rate as secured in the existing tenancy;£270? But knowing that the room now sells at £299 surely the landlord wants his maximum return and will make the new tenant pay the higher amount.

Any advisce greatfully recieved.
Tina

You need to get the Management company to confirm the rent. Then advertise for that rent.

No one needs to be told about the cheaper rate, the room is available at £x rent.
