This neighbour is a nightmare. Now she is complaining about a 4 foot high fence that has been up for 32 years. She cannot drive well. She has hit our fence and panels 3 times damaging them. I have not complained. Now she says she cant see onto main rd. Neighbour before her had no trouble- she cannot drive I think she is a menace, and dangerous. Leasehold says fencing is a temporary item. ,it is made of wood no permanent structure, no bricks.
Local council stipulates , only 1 m high fence , but it has been there for 32 years , no complaints
Could someone please advise .
I am a pensioner of 71 years who looks after my mum with dementia, who is 96. This is causing extra undue stress
Thanks Anne

It isn't clear what advice you want. I think your best bet is to ignore her.

To be honest, it sounds like you could have a one metre single line brick wall and she wouldn't see it and would drive I to it. Some people just can't be happy.

So the fence is 20cm bigger than it should be. It's not massive but if she's hitting it then it seems like it something you could replace? Have you driven 9ut of there yourself? Do you find the visibility reduced? It is hard to know who is BU

Report her to the dvla if you have genuine concerns about her driving.. The fence could have people next to it one day.. . Ignore her...

If her car is lower than the previous neighbour then your fence and parked trailer may well be obstructing her view.

I wouldn't be able to safely pull out from my drive, but my neighbours have a 9ft hedge and a trailer that's been sat on the road for 2 years. Annoying but not something I'd complain to the council about.
