Help with new flat-do you know what that means?

Anyone know what that means?? Asked my solicitor to clarify but I thought it was just a leasehold...does that mean I get a share of freehold too?

"From the information that has been provided to us, we have ascertained that the freehold reversion to the apartment leases is owned by a company which is in the ownership of the owners of the leases of the apartments and as such the building is not therefore a ‘relevant building’ for the purposes of the Act"

I'm no legal expert but I suspect it means that the freehold (or a share of it) had been bought by the leaseholders so you have no right to buy the freehold (or a share of it).

So it may be that the people selling may ajready own part of the freehold.

I never expected to buy the freehold though...just the leasehold for the flat. If the leaseholders bought the freehold though, don't I automatically get a share of the freehold when I buy the flat? I am very confused.

Usually this would mean that the management company that runs the building owns the freehold and each of the leaseholders have shares in the management company so consequently all leaseholders jointly own the freehold too.

Thank you!! How that would happen, I guess when it was a new built? Weird thing is that the management company changed a couple of years ago from a bigger brand(that wasm't taking care of the building) to a local one.

Does that mean that I would get stocks automatically too when buying so I own part of it too? What happens to the shares of the seller if not?
