P60 and P11D - post redundancy

My husband was made redundant earlier this year (May) so worked the whole of 22/23 financial year. It took the company 7 months to send his P45 (received last week) but he's not received his P60 or P11D for that full year and has to submit a tax return.
I'm nervous about him submitting without this documentation as if it's wrong he gets fined.
He's asked for these documents but zero response. There was no performance issue or bad blood so to speak.
What can he do?

If you get a P45 you won’t also get a P60. He can check the information ties up with his personal tax account on the government gateway. HMRC will also check that info against his tax return and they will send an update if their records don’t agree. It’s very very unlikely he will get fined for a small mistake like that!

From the HMRC website: "If you’re working for an employer on 5 April they must give you a P60. They must provide this by 31 May, on paper or electronically."
Ask again, in writing, and threaten to dob them in to HMRC if a copy is not provided within (say) 14 days.

Thank you. P45 would be for this FY so he is entitled to the others for last FY.

He is entitled to the P60, as per above. He is not entitled to a copy of the P11D itself but is entitled to the info that is in there. They should have filed last year's P11D by 6th July so they will have the info.

Thank you for clarifying. He's asked for it and they're not responding which is odd as the redundancy was a restructure so not a performance issue.

Smile I'm guessing that payroll/HR got restructured too and are at 6s and 7s.!The information will be there, it's just a matter of getting it out of them. However, as PP said, you may find that DH's data has already been uploaded on his Government Gateway account at HMRC by information supplied electronically by the old employer. Check it out.

Will do so thank you!
