999 transcript

Hi, I was wondering if anybody would know if my sister can get transcripts of the 999 call I made on her (problems with drug abuse)

she has a 4 year old daughter and relapsed so I rang the police to say she was in a unfit state etc and I took her daughter to my house.

she’s now claiming she is being given the 999 transcripts of me, which I don’t have anything to hide as she knows I rang them but didn’t know if that’s an actual thing people can request and get?

thank you

If it’s to resolve an issue within proceedings (such as a prosecution) in which she is the subject then she could obtain an order to receive the call records. This would usually be redacted so that any personal information belonging to somebody other than her is concealed.

She can't just phone up & ask for them if that's what she's implying. If a case was going to court then maybe her lawyer could request them but they're certainly not made readily available to the public

If the case was going to court it would form part of the case file and be accessible to the defence .
or she could ask for it under the freedom of information act.

I don't know what the legal answer is on this, but she won't be able to just ask for the info. What is she going to do with it anyway?
If you want to shut this down, take the wind out of her sails by just telling her what was said.
But if you're scared of her, which would be understandable given her life choices and reaction, keep your distance and a record of any threatening behaviour toward you. Don't be afraid to report her again if necessary.

I also want to say, you did the right thing by your niece in keeping her safe
