It has been sprung on me that I might need to divorce H.
I’ve already read a bit- there are 2 children primary school age involved, one with significant SN. I know that I can’t go for simplified procedure.
I’m from EEA, he’s British.

How to find good solicitor (how to recognize it)and what questions to ask? Could I just get half an hour of solicitor’s time?

Any advice welcome.

Thank you

Mortgage question

I separated a long time ago from my ex. We were married and had 2 kids. He is still within the marital home and i rent for me and the kids.

over the years ive wanted him to sell. So we could each have our own bit to make sure we could start again and have 2 homes for the kids. Ive always shyed away from taking it to court as it was going to be costly....and tbh the residence of the kids was all fought through court. Anyway to cut a long story short i received a letter from mortgage provider which was thanking us for taking new product and asked us both to sign. (I get mortgage statements to my rented address as im still on mortgage and house is obvs a marital asset). I had tried to discuss with my ex again about being time to sell as it is a 5 bedroom house and we would get most amount to divide it we sold when market is high. He just ignored me. So i thought i would wait until he approached me to sign product paperwork along with a conversation about selling up. He didnt....but a few weeks later i received a letter thanking us for taking this product. I phoned the company to ask if they needed both signatures to which the first person said yes then passed me through to a 'specialist dept' who said they didnt need both signatures.....i have just rechecked paperwork and it clearly states it needs 2. I was hoping this would bring an end to the ongoing saga of divorce and division of assets tbh....its been almost 10 years....

Does anyone hace any advice about this situation? Anyone work in mortgages?

Id appreciate any advice
