Charge on property

I know on the title if there is a charge on the property the who is publicly available – ie the name of the mortgage co. My question is what do conveyancers see? Can they see the £amount and what it is/what it is for? Ie court case details etc?

They see what the public sees.

They see the register as you see the register. If you are selling the house they will need to contact them and then it usually becomes clear as to what the nature of the charge is ie. debt owed to council etc

We sold a house that had a charge on it, our solicitor had to demonstrate to the buyers solicitor that it would be discharged on completion because the funds would be repaid directly to the creditor (the LA) from the solicitor. So the buyers solicitor would have had those details.

It is an open register so the public sees the same as legal bods.
