Harasser refusing to give their name

Good morning! I live in staff accommodation and have been subjected to harassment from two Asian residents (I am White, neurodivergent and conflict avoiding) for months. They recently did something that’s so serious, I am going to report it as a hate crime and also take one of them to court to recover financial losses incurred. The main harasser however, is refusing to give their names. The landlord has refused to get involved. Is there any way I can find out their names? Can the Police get them to reveal their names for my court claim?

What do you mean when you say staff accommodation, do you all work at the same place? Surely your employer should be getting involved?

Something like nursing?

Speak to your employer. If you get no joy then speak to your Union. Surely the landlord is connected to the employer?

How have you lost money?

I'd be very very cautious about bringing either race or your ND into it unless you can prove discrimination.

Indeed we do work for the same employer. The only people I thought to involve was the Accommodation Office but the manager more or less said it’s not his problem and we should be able to do-exist peacefully.

Close - Occupational Therapists.

The landlord is a company that manages the building for the company that we work for.

I can prove discrimination- it only happens to me. There are other races represented and none of them have ever been harassed by these people.

Through their actions, I lost valuable items which cost me a lot of money.

I am a union member but I don’t find them helpful at all.

I would suggest contacting the Police on an non-emergency line.
They will be able to give you the best advice.

You should report incidents of harassment to the police. Even if you don’t know their names you should be able to give them sufficient information for the police to find them. Then report it to your employer and the accommodation office and give them crime number.
