What are my rights here in terms of cancellation?

On Friday, I booked two tickets to a music artist signing. The price said from £6.50 but when I went to select the tickets, a £17 was automatically selected. I was quite confused but wanted to secure the tickets and since they seemed a reasonable price anyway, I thought I'd go ahead and buy them.

Yesterday, I clicked on the ticket option again and saw how I could have selected the £6.50. On the app there was a "help" section and an option to type a message if I wanted a refund for the tickets I'd bought for £17. I filled out this form and then proceeded to buy another set of tickets X2 for £6.50.

I was surprised to receive an email this morning saying that my original tickets cannot be cancelled because the event hasn't sold out and I have no option to put them on their ticket exchange forum. Their terms and conditions state the attached. It was clearly foolish for me to buy another set of the cheaper tickets but I found their refund request misleading. Why have that option if it's unavailable? You'll see by the second photo that I've place the "refund request".

Do I have any rights here? I'm now down £47 for a £13 event.

Do I have any rights here? The tickets are electronic on an app.

Sorry, I couldn't attach the second image for the first message for some reason.

I can only see one photo but it’s very clear you can’t cancel the tickets.

the fact they have a way to apply for a refund doesn’t negate their clear terms and conditions. Sorry.

Having identified the supplier involved, it appears that some things they sell can be cancelled, hence the refund option. However, as others have said, that doesn't override their terms and conditions. I'm afraid you don't have any rights here. You can explain what has happened and hope they will help, or you can do as they suggest and put your more expensive tickets on their ticket exchange forum, but you don't have any basis for demanding a refund.

Update: £34 refund issued.

You always have 14 days to cancel a purchase made remotely online.

Depends on what you are buying! It does not apply, for example, to an order for personalised goods. I understand that sellers of tickets argue that they are supplying a service related to leisure activities with a specific date of performance, in which case the 14-day right to cancel does not apply.
