Based in Scotland. We've owned here for 8 years, our neighbours have owned theirs for 21 years. Our deeds show the boundary as being on an existing fence line, his deeds show the same. The Scottish Land Registry shows the boundary as the fence line. He now states he has a plot drawing from when the site was being built, late 60s early 70s, and it shows the boundary taking a chunk of our garden and drive. He has put a claim in with the Lamd Registry stating the map is incorrect. My feeling is he is unlikely to be successful. Any Scottish land dispute solicitors around with a basic opinion? Thank you

Plot drawings are done by builders solely for themselves. They have no legal effect. What is in the transfer deed and what is on the ground is what counts. Ignore them.
