Civil court

Hello

If you have filed a civil case against your neighbour... what were the circumstances and outcome? How long did things take? We are considering taking action for private nuisance as he uses his vehicle to make things difficult for us. If it lasted a couple of weeks, then fine. But has been going on since 2020 and he doesn't listen to council or Police as long as it is not illegal. But it does affect us and causes hazardous conditions for us. I have read about private nuisance. I plan to first just send a letter through solicitors and hopefully he stops as he has been arrested in the past and also had a restraining order taken out against him ( by his ex-wife). Any advice?

My only advice is this. Take advice from a specialist solicitor before you embark on this. Lose your case and you'll pay thousands in their legal costs. The tort of nuisance is not straightforward.
