Hi, I've posted before about the nightmare that is selling my flat. There was no lease plan (I know, my solicitor should have spotted this but that's another story) and to make matters worse the flat across the hall does have a lease plan that shows it to be where my flat stands.
I have had to have a new lease plan drafted with a deed of variation , get it approved by management company and their solicitors and it will now go to Land registry soon for approval.
Part of the process was running the new plan and deed past the buyer's solicitor. They said that even if Land Registry approve this document, they need the other flat to get a deed of variation too before they will complete.
So my question is, will land registry approve my document or will they expect a deed to variation from the other flat too? Or if Land registry do approve the document, is the buyer justified in wanting that document or is it another hoop I'm being expected to jump through needlessly. These are very expensive, time-wasting hoops! TIA
