Hi,
What career options do I have in England with an LL.B. in Civil Law (graduated from a European university in civil rather than common law)? What would I need to do in order to become a paralegal or solicitor here? Thanks!

Some sort of conversion course?

During my divorce in France, xh's barrister, who was like a rottweiler with extreme pmt, had done a course in UK law at the LSE in London.

Might be worth a look.

@ichundich There are only 3 universities with qualifying degrees in Europe. I have attached details. You could get a para legal job but you do not, I think, have a qualifying degree as listed by the SRA. Solicitors Regulation Authority. There are also apprenticeships. I think you should look at the Law Society web site which gives info on how to qualify as a solicitor without a qualifying law degree. I think we still have conversion courses but I’m not sure.

Have a look at becoming a Costs lawyer. The training course to become one is open entry.

It also mentions qualifying degrees. So which ones? You can start as a trainee with 2 A levels though. It’s fairly narrow in scope as a law job though.
