Faulty oven - update

Hello. I posted a few weeks ago about our faulty oven:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/property/4787155-how-to-find-a-local-bekoleisure-engineer

So I had a local engineer come out, he said we needed new hinges, ordered them and returned a week later with them to fit. In order to fit them he had to pull the oven right out and go in through the back of it, it took quite a while. Anyway once he'd fitted them we had a look and the door is still sitting slightly ajar, and not closing fully like it should. He was quite perplexed by it, and said that in his opinion the whole oven cavity is not actually straight, and never has been, and therefore it will never shut properly.

He thinks that when Beko sent their engineer to fix the problem a few months after we got the oven, that he had just tightened the hinges (he didn't go in through the back so couldn't have actually replaced them) and they've then slowly come loose again. So basically this would just keep happening, as it obviously did a few months later.

I called Beko whilst the engineer was still there, and they were so unhelpful. They said their engineer would not have missed this when he came out, but I tried to explain that all he did was clearly tighten the hinges which provided a temporary 'fix' and didn't actually pull it out to see that new hinges don't even work. He genuinely would have missed it; I'm not saying it was deliberately ignored. But they're refusing to accept this, and say I will need to pay to have someone come out to have a look as it's now out of warranty. I'm disputing this as when it was still within warranty the problem wasn't actually fixed, so why should I now pay?
I bought this from ao.com, could it be worth going back to them to explain? The first time the fault occurred they just directed me straight to Beko, so it wouldn't be helpful if they just did the same again.
I also bought this on a credit card, could it be worth contacting them?
Any help would be much appreciated. We currently have an oven that is partially unable to be used; and I haven't a clue what to do next..

The problem you have here is that the oven is more than 6 months old. That means it is up to you to prove that the oven was faulty when delivered and that the problem isn't due to normal wear and tear, misuse or similar. If you can get an engineer's report stating that the oven has a manufacturing or design fault, you can get a price reduction from AO, or you can reject the oven and receive a partial refund.

If AO are unhelpful, you could try the credit card provider. They are jointly liable with AO.

Note that your contract is with AO, so your rights are against them. You don't have any rights against Beko.
