How would I leave?

Me and my DP are not happy. Haven't been for a long time.
We privately rent our house (at a pretty low price for the area too) I work part time and he works full time, we have DD who is 1.

If I was to leave , there's no way I could afford to privately rent. I have no family I could move on with.

Genuinely, if I wanted to leave what do I do? Wait until our tenancy is up and declare myself homeless?

My current job isn't the best paying but it isn't bad and is extremely flexible with DD and has room for career growth so I wouldn't want to leave the area.

I'm not in any danger, we just don't like each other very much and I just want to know what my options would be.

Is it worth giving relationship counselling a try? With a one year old, a large number of new parents are struggling with the upheaval of having a new baby - variously the strains of pnd, your social and family lives changing, the physical demands (and exhaustion) of caring for a baby - it can take a massive toll on a relationship.

If the relationship is at an end, what are the options for you to work full time instead, versus the price of childcare? If you work a steady 9am to 5pm weekdays then you might find you have a better option. Use the Entitledto website to find out what benefits you might get.

Also did you consider you really only need a one bedroom flat with a young child - you can share a room probably til around the age they start school without any issue.
