Malicious report to social worker about us

I am scared and don't know what to do or expect.

This woman wants to break our house and has falsely reported us to the police and says she has some proofs and that husband beats me and is harassing me, which is a total lie as she has a thing for my husband and wants us to be separated. We had few arguments and I shared that with her as I thought she is my friend and wanted to talk to someone as I am going through so many emotions after delivery. Police came out of no where the other day and I was shocked but it was all ok I guess at the end they also asked if they can info to social services and I said no as this is all lie and that I have nothing to worry about, but now I got to know that she has referred us to the social services.

pls pls pls help - what will happen now I am very scared.

If there is no issue the case will be closed. However if police were involved it suggests you may be minimising the level of the arguments.

If its a third party report to the police, then they have to investigate/visit at the minimum.

They have asked if they can share information with social services - this report will just detail who was involved, the initial report, what was disclosed when they visited and any concerns they had. They may also contact the school to see if there is any sudden change in the behaviour of the children - same with the GP.

I wouldn't worry - we have hundreds of reports likes this - either its malicious or its a concerned relative/neighbour jumping to the wrong conclusion - false call with good intent.

What the police & social services will look out for will be any continuing patterns of behaviour which is corroborated by other evidence/information - that's when they will get more involved.

For example - you might say to them that it was just an argument - but they will note that you had a bruised eye, or the school might say that the children suddenly seem withdrawn, tired, hungry - its just things that might put up red flags along the line.
