I'm based in the UK but rurally and have a preference to use an online legal service. I've inherited a tenant in common house (freehold) in England with a sibling. Probate granted. Simple 50/50 beneficiaries split. No mortgage.
Sibling wants to buy me out of the house so is getting it valued and we've agreed to go with the average of the 3.
I think I'll need a lawyer to represent me in the sale (I'd do the tr1 etc forms myself but I think because sibling needs a mortgage we'll need lawyers).
Don't need affiliated services like dispersion of cap gains advice, I know how to declare and will sort myself.
Any recommendations of online conveyancing services to avoid or go for based on recent experience..?
I'm not keen to use a local firm who pays for buildings who I also have to trek miles to see, my experience of their modern ways of working has been so poor (formal emails going days and days unread, new grads just being dumped with work so you're paying a high traditional fee but they're no better skilled than another random name in a call centre!)
I'd happily consider using a traditional law firm if I could get a named conveyancing contact btw. I just don't want to repeat my experience of paying for fancy offices as the client where I meet a sales partner lawyer initially who then palms the doing off to an overwhelmed underlining!
