(Almost) 6 months pregnant and the company I work for has just become insolvent

I work for a large company which has been put into insolvency over the weekend.

I had a bonus due to be paid on Wednesday and obviously would be starting maternity leave which was 7 months full pay, in June.

I have no idea what is going to happen now / what I am entitled to and am very scared and stressed as the prospect of finding a job whilst almost 6 months pregnant and having no enhanced maternity leave is quite daunting.

Going to call an advice line tomorrow but if anyone has any pieces of advice on what I should be looking at / doing / what I might be able to do (or anything, really), I’d really appreciate it.

Gosh poor you. No advice but bumping for you.

Is it worth talking to ACAS to find out what your rights are?

You will need to complete a form, used to be RP1 and fill it in. You should get paid through the Redundancy Payments Service, you should be sent forms by the Liquidator, when one is appointed. I can’t remember how much you will get, as I worked for an Insolvency Practitioner a few years ago, but you can phone the RPS and ask exactly what you will be entitled to.
