Sweep without consent

Does anyone have any experience with how to raise the issue above. I had my son 12 weeks ago and during my induction process (pessary) the doctor came in to do a cervical check to see how dilated I was which I consented too. While he was doing this, it got a bit more painful than previous and he said 'I'm just giving you a sweep' he did not ask him and I had previously said no to one a couple of days previous due to the risks of waters breaking but not going into labour which was exactly what happened to me! It's so wrong and I've been told it's assault. I've rang a couple of medical claims but they say they cannot help me, I don't know where to go or how to start

I’m so sorry to hear this, how awful for you!

Have you raised a formal complaint via PALS? Is there a reason you’re going down the route of litigation?

No I haven't. I will look into it.
No I just thought that's what you did in this circumstance. I had bad birth trauma and ptsd and it wasn't all down to this, but I'm trying to take back some control if that makes sense. I also don't think it's right that this seems to be common practice to loads of women! When I went onto Google it was everywhere women complaining and it's just not right.
