Work complaint upheld - bullying, harassment and intimidation

Hi
Can anyone give me a bit of advice please. Complaint at work, external party investigated it for employer. My complaint was upheld and the case to answer is bullying, harassment and intimidation. This was supported by dignity at work. Then person why was bullying has left. What happens now?
For info this person did this to many others, they were still in post 7 months after the first complaints (there were more than 1), and in the meantime had the platform to bully harass and intimidate more.
The outcome states that 'your case is ongoing and may not have come to a close as yet' ... what does that mean? I don't know what to do?
It was a restructure, I lost my job and was treated wrongly, upheld, I now have a different role. My old job is refilled. The person tried to move me to a job that was below my level and nothing related to any experience or background or education (degree and PhD - job offered was nothing even remotely relevant). I've found a secondment role I'm temporarily in but in the meantime although I've been offered a role, it's not my old job and they can't tell me what the job will be when I finish my secondment.
Any advice is welcome - thanks

The other person has the right to appeal , case not closed till ether they appeal and thats processed or the window of opportunity for them to appeal passes

They refused to respond to any of the complaints and I think she may have been sacked

you need to go back to HR and ask them about next steps. It could be tricky when the secondment ends. However you should be offered compensation but they may not volunteer it and you may need to go to tribunal although they should settle given its a forgone conclusion! It may be done to settle what amount is given - alternatively get hold of the internal process for such complaints and check out what that says

Thanks @RB68 - I'll ask tomorrow for sure.
There's a very damning overall report that the departments leadership have failed too - lots of negative things from the external investigator that the company we work for paid to do these reports

I would also think about getting the advice at least of an employment lawyer - if nothing else if they negotiate on your behalf you may get a better settlement

Thank you, I've been wondering that actually, I think sone firms give some advice so may investigate that route

Anyone else got any advice. A colleague has suggested seeking legal advice and possibly compensation as it's essentially bullying, interviewed for a job I should have been slotted into, loads of skullduggery around this was ceremoniously kicked out of my job I'd had 10 years and Di e very well with if - offered a job in a different field I have no experience or qualifications in ((I have a PhD so very research driven and 22 years experience), lost job, got my own secondment in same department (managed by others, not those dealing with the restructure ... no connection. ) I've now been told I'll keep a role at the same level after secondment finishes in 4 years , no idea what that will be, I'll apparent still have to have a 6 month fucking probation (something the sacked person brought in ... not company policy!) ... yet the external complaint investigator has said I should have always been slotted and the person trying to get rid of me (who was sacked) still stripped me of my role and appointed two outsider appointees ... zero experience!
Also after my complaint the person in question still bullied and harassed me, cut my access to things I needed for my new secondment, made my new job much harder than needed, harassed me, and the employer, though had a copy of my complaint and an external investigator was investigating officially, they didn't stop this, didn't redact any of her authority over me and my job... that took 3.5 months before she was sacked yet I ended up In Counselling, on medication, so far for a year but it will be ongoing ... off work with WR stress for 3 months, it's a complete shit show

Get a lawyer. You may have cover for costs via your Trade Union or your house insurance.

Thanks @ItsDinah - I'd forgotten about my insurance and using to claim for legal fees (was worried about costs!). Union involved so will set up a meeting

Companies always have policies that say they will protect whistleblowers but the hard reality is that I doubt if there is any whistleblower anywhere who has continued in their job as if nothing had happened. So you've been restructured, sidelined, demoted etc. probably to encourage you to leave and stop making trouble for them.

Things will never go back to the way they were, but the things that have happened should not happen in the workplace - so you should be in a good position to negotiate compensation for that. You need a good employment lawyer. And be prepared to look for a new job, but not before your compensation is agreed.
