Neurotic share of freeholder

I own a ground floor flat which I let out. The above owner has moved back in. She is neurotic, prone to fall out with everyone and continually harassing my tenant with unreasonable complaints.

My last tenants moved out partly because of her. My new tenant has told me she can't take much more of it.

She leaves letters stipulating instructions on closing doors quietly, mentioning loud voices, patronising lines about respecting eachother etc.

She called the police once about loud music at 10pm on a Saturday night. The tenants had already turned it down. The police thought she was unreasonable and dismissed her complaint. She tried to tell me to evict my tenant.

It's exhausting. The problem I have is that she is now a real threat because my tenant seems to be suggesting she's had enough.

I have messaged her to outline how and why her behaviour is harassment and that she needs to assure me she'll stop.

I don't want to involve legals but if she is threatening my income I may need to take things further.

Has anyone dealt with this - any advice appreciated?..

Well your message isn't likely to have any effect on her. I'd be thinking about selling up.

Seems a bit extreme though I have considered it many times since she is a nightmare. It's a great investment property though.
