An sponsor from a 12 step fellowship was accused by a neighbour of tampering with there car - at the time of the incident she was on the phone to me - I don’t have 100% certainty but we did speak weekly at the time.
She asked for an email confirming this which I was happy to send.
She then asked for my name and address which I gave her.
She’s now telling me I have been announced to the court and I need to travel 2 hours on the train to get to there next week.
I can’t go due to work commitments -
Where do I stand? Do I need o go? I’ve had no letter from the court or her solicitor.
Thanks

God, that isn’t on, is it?
You aren’t even certain.

Sorry no legal advice but I do hope you aren’t obligated to attend court.

Thanks for replying - the person is getting very demanding of me. I assumed I’d get a letter calling me to court. It’s blinking tit for tat with a neighbour - waste of time really unless there is a back story I know nothing about.

If you were going to court, wouldn’t you have to be deposed?

The one time I was supposed to testify in court I was deposed by both sides before and they settled out of court. I don’t think I would have been compelled by the court to attend even if a trial had happened.
