Drafting own consent order

Wondering if anyone can help.

After a financial hearing following my divorce a judge has approved my request for a clean break with exH and told me to send through the order for him to sign off.

I acted as litigant in person for the hearing so am wondering how I go about getting the correct paperwork - a search online suggests I need a solicitor which will cost me £400 +. Is there an alternative way I can do this myself or will the court order need to be drafted by a solicitor?

Thanks In advance

I would very strongly recommend using a solicitor to draft the consent order. If you do it yourself, it may be rejected by the court or it may not have the effect you intended.

If you didn't get a solicitor for the divorce you're not going to listen to me tell you to get a solicitor for the consent order!

@D0lphine it was very straightforward and really didn't need a solicitor - divorced 10 years with no assets, just an awkward ex.

If I'm told I need to get a solicitor to draw up the clean break order that's what I'll do! I just wanted to double check

This sounds most unusual. From the sound of things this is not a consent order. The judge should draw it up.

Serves me right for answering the title without reading the first post properly. As this is to implement the court's decision, it is not a consent order. It would only be a consent order if you and your ex had agreed it.
