Property with two individuals named on title register .

One of the individuals A has recently been discharged from a mental health section ,other individual B not allowing him access to the house -his keys were taken from him by relative of other resident of house .

The property was owned outright by A and B persuaded /asked A to put her name on deeds .

A is now in a HMO and he says B has agreed to sell property with proceeds divided .House is not on market and I suspect B will drag her heels .

Is there any advice on protecting B and ensuring that a sale takes place within a reasonable time frame ?

B is in his early 70s ,has been on medication for years for long term mental health issues .Recent section came after a change in medication .

I've googled now and know more .They're not married .Looks complicated and not good from his point of view .

As A is a joint owner of the house, B cannot legally deny him access. He could go to court and get an occupation order, forcing B to allow him in.

He can also apply to the court for an order forcing a sale.

Do you think A was coerced into putting B's name on the deeds?

I think he was manipulated ,but it would be impossible to prove .
