Ex CMS. Own business 'fiddle'

My ex had generally been pretty good.with regards to maintenance, with the exception of a few bumps in the road.
Last year he went as a limited company. Or shall I say his DW had become the director, with him 'earning minimum wage'
Dcs maintenance has halved. Dc even comes home and says about all the things they've been buying, spas, new bathroom etc. Which the DW has paid out of the divedends she received as the director. ( not jealous we have lovely things, stated to show an example) Ds says she does about an hour a day of the paperwork side of things so it shows she is a part of it. His DF does all the Work for the business. Dc is nearly 16 so they openly say about it all to dc

It's so infuriating people get away with stuff like this. Dc won't suffer because my dh wouldn't see him go without. But what annoyes me the most. Dc asked DF for a tenner to go to cinema with mate. Never asked b4. And the answer was no I'm on NMW I have no money.!

Contact CMS and apply for a variation on the ground of diversion of income.

Yep. Contact CMS on the grounds that you suspect diversion of income. But sometimes new companies take a while to become profitable - obviously if your ex's DW is drawing big dividends and he's on NMW that is wrong, but do you know for a fact that they are doing this?

Yes 100% doing this. He told dc. Tbh it's Only 2 years until he doesn't need to pay so prob isn't worth the hassle.
But it's handy to know.
He told dc of I had a problem with it they would draw less dividends And keep the money in the business until dc is age when he doesn't have to pay.

Oh I've just read up and it states he can't hide it in his business as limited company.
But what I've read is I'd need proof and lots of info which I don't really have. I don't even know the name of the business
I don't quiz dc the info is given off own back so I wouldn't want to ask questions and put dc in an awkward position.

You can search for his or her name on the Companies House website as one of them at least will be listed as a director. You will find a link to their limited company, what position they hold and a summary of their accounts, if the company has been opened long enough.
Is he doing most of the work that brings money into the company? If they hold an equal number of shares I think they should receive the same dividends. I’m not an expert though.
