Seller dragging feet on refund - help!

Just as the title says really!

I purchased a 5m garden parasol beginning of July. It arrived mid July.

On arrival I assembled and opened to ensure it was all in working order. So far so good.

Then we had rain or were out of the house so didn't use it. It stayed in the corner of the garden - all closed up.

I went to use the parasol last week and it is broken. It has a crank mechanism to open the parasol, the handle is turning but there's no movement.

I contacted the company I purchased it from straight away. They requested I send a video showing the issue.

I did so and have now been contacted by the supplier of the company I purchased from offering me a 10% discount off a repair pack. Apparently I must've kept the parasol open in high wind. I absolutely did not!

I've sent various emails pointing out I have a 30 day right to a refund as the parasol is unfit for use.

I know I must also know I am supposed to expect a refund from the company I purchased from and that they are in breach of my consumer rights.

However they keep dragging their supplier in to it and muddying the waters.

I don't know what to do next tbh and that's what I'd like advice on.

The parasol was £200. I could write it off but why should I?! How many other people have they done this to.

I'm really quite annoyed they've made such a big deal out of a small issue when we were perfectly happy to take a replacement in the beginning.

Apols for the length of the post! Thanks for reading x

Send them a letter before action giving them 14 day's to resolve the issue and saying you will take legal action without further notice if they fail to respond satisfactorily you can then take action in the small claims court.
